IMWVD 2011

The VAI in conjunction with the Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery Department of the Christian Medical College & Hospital , Ludhiana and the Punjab Medical Council hosted the prestigious “ International Master Class on Venous Disease – 2011” on 7-8th Feb 2011 immediately following the VAI con in Chandigarh . Renowned surgeons, including Prof Jean-Francois Uhl (France), Dr Ted King (USA), Dr Mark Malouf (Australia) and Dr Benigini (France), were invited to give their expertise so that the latest techniques could be used to help people of this region. Extremely complicated cases were operated upon . 50 delegates from all over India actively participated and learnt the new techniques . There was a very educative interaction during the lectures and the surgeries. A rich cultural programme was also organized and enjoyed thoroughly by one and all. The visiting faculty were taken to pay obeisance at the Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar where they were specially honoured by the highest religious body of Sikhism – the SGPC

1st Certification Course in Vascular USG (Ultrasound) and Minimally Invasive Treatment of Venous Diseases

The Vascular Surgery Department of the Fortis Hospital, Mohali hosted the prestigious “1st Certification Course in Vascular USG (Ultrasound) and Minimally Invasive Treatment of Venous Diseases” on 4-7th Aug 2014. Renowned surgeons, including Dr. Ravul Jindal (Mohali), Prof. Jean-Francois Uhl (France), Dr. Serge Mako (France), Dr. Jean Marc Diamant (France), Dr. Rene Milleret (France), Dr. Jean-Patrick Benigni (France), Dr. Ladbans Kaur (Chandigarh) and Dr. Shoaib Padaria (Mumbai), were invited to give their expertise so that the latest techniques could be used to help people of this region.
